This marks a decline from the 91% pass rate recorded in 2025.

Educationists Comment on Evaluation Standards

Educationists attributed the drop in pass percentage to stricter and more transparent evaluation standards. A teacher from a private school in the city remarked, “While the numbers are lower, such reforms ultimately strengthen academic credibility and encourage students to focus on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.”

Top Performers

Naysa Singh from DPS Sector 45 topped the science stream with an impressive 99.2% score. She had also scored 98.9% in Class 10. Naysa achieved perfect scores in biology, chemistry, and psychology, along with 99 in English and 97 in physical education. She had appeared for the NEET exam, which was cancelled following an alleged paper leak, leaving her future plans uncertain. She is keen on pursuing MBBS.

In the commerce stream, Daksh Gupta from DAV School Sector 39 scored 99%, with a perfect 100 in mathematics and 99 each in economics, accountancy, and business studies, as well as 98 in English. He aspires to become a chartered accountant and eventually start his own practice.

Students with Special Needs

In the children with special needs category, 273 students appeared from the Gurgaon region. Among them, Harsh, a humanities student from Amity International School Sector 46, scored 86% despite having dyslexia—a learning disability identified after he failed Class 11. He studied three to four hours daily, supported by his family and teachers, gradually rebuilding his confidence and grasp of subjects. His mother Kavita is a homemaker, and his father Lalit works as a transport in-charge at a school.
