Bengaluru Student Achieves Top Rank in Karnataka for JEE Mains Examination

In a remarkable academic achievement, Vishnu Sai Theja, a student of Narayana CO Kaveri Bhavan in Kasavanahalli, Bengaluru, has emerged as the state topper for Karnataka in the JEE Mains-1 results announced on Monday. He achieved an exceptional 99.99 percentile, demonstrating outstanding performance in one of India's most competitive engineering entrance examinations.

National Recognition and Subject-Wise Excellence

Vishnu's accomplishment extends beyond state boundaries, as he secured the 14th rank nationally among over 13 lakh students who appeared for the exam. His subject-wise performance was particularly impressive, with a perfect 100 percentile in Physics, 99.99 percentile in Chemistry, and 99.97 percentile in Mathematics.

"His excellent scores in each subject show how well-prepared he is and his strong understanding of concepts," commented school officials, highlighting the comprehensive nature of his academic preparation.

Discipline and Balance: The Path to Success

When asked about his success strategy, Vishnu emphasized the importance of consistent hard work and structured study routines. "In the beginning, I used to spend 8am to 8pm at school. Later, I would come home by 5.30pm and study until 11pm," he revealed, detailing his rigorous daily schedule.

Despite the intense preparation, Vishnu maintained a balanced approach to managing stress and maintaining mental well-being. "If I felt stressed, I would watch YouTube or cricket," he shared, adding that he occasionally played chess or cricket to refresh his mind between study sessions.

Future Aspirations and Support System

Vishnu now aims to secure a computer science seat in top Indian Institutes of Technology, building on his strong foundation in Physics and Mathematics. "I've always loved Physics and Maths, so choosing engineering was an obvious path," he explained, noting his natural inclination toward these subjects.

He credited his consistent success to the support system around him, particularly mentioning Surendranath Reddy, the core dean at his school, for providing crucial guidance throughout his preparation journey.

Family Background and State Performance Context

Vishnu Sai Theja comes from an accomplished family background. He is the son of Ravikumar Setty, a global engineering leader at Visteon in Bangalore, and Pallavi, an MBA graduate and homemaker. This achievement places him as Karnataka's top performer, though notably, no students from the state were among the 12 who secured a perfect 100 percentile nationally.

The JEE Mains examination continues to be a critical gateway for engineering aspirants across India, with this year's edition attracting participation from more than 13 lakh students competing for limited seats in prestigious institutions.
