Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced the results of the SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations (ASE) 2026 on Friday, revealing a state-wide pass percentage of 82.39%. This marks a significant improvement from 76.14% in 2025, an increase of 6.25 percentage points, attributed to the government's special academic support program for students who failed the regular SSC exams.
Exam Statistics and Performance
A total of 94,990 candidates appeared for the supplementary exams conducted from May 25 to June 5, with 78,261 students successfully passing. Girls outperformed boys once again, achieving a pass percentage of 85.39% compared to 80.46% among boys. The overall attendance rate for the examinations stood at 88.21%.
Government Initiatives and Minister's Remarks
Minister Lokesh credited the encouraging results to the government's 20-Day Action Plan implemented between May 5 and May 24. This initiative included intensive coaching, daily learning schedules, slip tests, and personalized mentoring by teachers to prepare students for the supplementary exams. He congratulated students, parents, teachers, and school leaders for their efforts and wished the successful candidates the best in their future academic pursuits.
District-Wise Performance
Among districts, Prakasam recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.96%, followed closely by Kakinada at 97.94%. In contrast, NTR district registered the lowest pass percentage at 63.18%.
Recounting and Reverification Process
Students seeking recounting or reverification of answer scripts can apply online between June 20 and June 26. The fee is set at Rs 500 per subject for recounting and Rs 1,000 per subject for reverification.
