Anshit Kumar has emerged as the topper in the Himachal Pradesh Class 12 examinations conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). He secured an impressive 99.4% marks, setting a high benchmark for students across the state.
Overall Pass Percentage
The overall pass percentage for the Class 12 exams stood at 92.02%, reflecting a slight improvement over the previous year. A total of 1,20,000 candidates appeared for the exams, out of which 1,10,424 successfully cleared the tests.
Gender Performance
Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 94.5%, while boys recorded 89.7%. This trend continues to highlight the academic excellence of female students in the state.
Subject-Wise Analysis
In the science stream, the pass percentage was 93.2%, while commerce and arts streams recorded 91.5% and 90.8% respectively. Mathematics and English were the subjects with the highest number of failures.
Top Performers
Following Anshit Kumar, the second position was secured by Priya Sharma with 99.2%, and the third position by Rohan Verma with 99.1%. The board also congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged those who could not clear the exams to appear for the compartment examinations.
Compartment Exams
The HPBOSE has announced that compartment exams will be conducted in July 2025. Students who have failed in up to two subjects are eligible to appear. The board has advised such students to download their admit cards from the official website.
Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Govind Singh Thakur, praised the students for their hard work and dedication. He also assured that the state government is committed to providing quality education and improving the examination system.
