Indian Railways Announces Summer Special Trains for Maharashtra Routes
In response to the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the summer season, Indian Railways has unveiled a comprehensive plan to operate special trains connecting Nagpur with Pune and Mumbai. This strategic initiative aims to provide enhanced connectivity and convenience for commuters traveling across key regions of Maharashtra.
Mumbai-Nagpur Bi-Weekly Special Train Schedule
The railway authorities have confirmed the operation of Train No. 02141, designated as the CSMT-Nagpur bi-weekly special. This service will commence its journey from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) every Sunday and Tuesday at 12:20 AM. The train is scheduled to arrive at Nagpur station at 3:10 PM on the same day, offering a direct and efficient travel option for passengers.
For the return leg, Train No. 02142, the Nagpur-CSMT bi-weekly special, will depart from Nagpur every Sunday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM. This train will reach CSMT in Mumbai at 1:30 PM the following day, ensuring a comfortable overnight journey for travelers heading to the financial capital.
Extensive Halts and Route Coverage
These special trains have been meticulously planned to serve a wide array of commuters by including halts at numerous major stations along the route. The list of intermediate stops encompasses:

In addition to the Mumbai services, Indian Railways has also introduced special trains on the Pune-Nagpur route. Train No. 01469 will operate from Pune to Nagpur, departing every Tuesday at 3:50 PM. This train is expected to arrive at Nagpur at 6:30 AM the next day, providing an overnight connection between these two major cities.
For the return journey, Train No. 0140, the Nagpur-Hadapsar special, will leave Nagpur every Wednesday at 8:00 AM. It is slated to reach Hadapsar station in Pune at 11:30 PM on the same day, completing a full-day service that caters to both business and leisure travelers.
