HSVP Launches Road Safety Drive in Panchkula: Kerb Repairs in Sectors 1, 3, 5
Panchkula Road Repairs: HSVP Fixes Kerbs, Turns in Key Sectors

In a significant move to enhance road safety and driving conditions, the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has initiated a comprehensive repair and maintenance project across key sectors of Panchkula. The civic body is set to address long-standing issues of damaged infrastructure, focusing specifically on sectors 1, 3, and 5.

Project Scope and Key Infrastructure Work

The core of the project involves the restoration of damaged and missing kerbstones at various locations. Additionally, the HSVP will focus on strengthening worn-out road turns at multiple cuts along these sectors. Officials state that the process to award the work to a specialized agency has already commenced, based on a prepared estimate.

Beyond mere repairs, the initiative includes priming and painting both existing and new kerbs. This step is crucial for improving nighttime visibility and enhancing the overall aesthetics of the roads, contributing to a more orderly urban environment.

Durability and Long-Term Maintenance

To ensure longevity, cement concrete works will be undertaken at identified spots using standard concrete mixes. This approach aims to repair deteriorated road edges and kerb sections, making the road network more resilient against wear and tear, especially during harsh weather conditions.

A critical component of this project is the inclusion of a one-year maintenance and defect liability period. This guarantee means that any defects appearing after the completion of work will be fixed by the agency at no extra cost to the authority or residents, ensuring accountability and quality.

Expected Outcomes for Panchkula Residents

The primary goal of this drive is to ensure smoother traffic movement and improve overall road safety for Panchkula's citizens. By systematically addressing these maintenance issues, the HSVP aims to prevent further deterioration of the road infrastructure. This proactive measure is expected to reduce accident risks and provide a more reliable and pleasant commuting experience for daily travelers in the affected sectors.
