LDA Demolishes 12 Illegal Construction Sites in Lucknow, Covers 43.75 Acres
Lucknow LDA demolishes 12 illegal sites in Gudamba, Kakori

In a major drive against unauthorised development, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) carried out significant demolition actions on Tuesday. The authority razed constructions at 12 illegal sites located within unauthorised colonies in the Gudamba and Kakori areas of the city. The total land area covered in this single-day operation was approximately 43.75 acres.

Massive Demolition Drive Across Two Zones

The crackdown was executed under the directives of LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar. Enforcement teams from two different zones of the LDA were deployed simultaneously to carry out the demolitions.

In the first operation, the Zone 5 enforcement team targeted four illegal plots located in Kapasi village of the Gudamba region. The demolished structures included boundary walls and site offices. These sites, sprawling over nearly 12.5 acres, were allegedly being developed by individuals identified as Manoj Pal, Mohammad Siddiqui, Ramesh Kumar Pal, and Lal Bahadur, among others. Zonal Officer Ravi Nandan Singh supervised this part of the drive.

Second Operation in Kakori Area

Concurrently, the Zone 3 enforcement team launched a separate demolition operation in the Kakori area. This action focused on villages including Jaliyamau, Kathingra, Fatehganj, and Nathora. Here, the team demolished illegal constructions on eight different plots, which together covered a vast area of about 31.25 acres. This operation was led by Zonal Officer Devansh Trivedi.

LDA's Stern Warning and Public Advisory

Following the drive, officials reiterated the authority's zero-tolerance policy towards illegal construction. Zonal Officer Devansh Trivedi stated that the LDA would continue its strict enforcement against unauthorised plotting and construction activities across Lucknow without any respite.

In light of these events, the LDA has issued a crucial advisory to the public. The authority has strongly urged prospective land and property buyers to exercise extreme caution. They advised buyers to thoroughly verify the legal status and necessary approvals of any land or project before committing to a purchase. This step is essential to avoid financial losses and legal complications arising from investing in illegal developments.

This large-scale action is part of the LDA's ongoing campaign to curb the growth of illegal colonies and unauthorised constructions, which pose urban planning, safety, and infrastructural challenges for the city.
