Lucknow Development Authority Unveils Major IT City Housing Initiative

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to launch its ambitious IT City housing scheme on February 28, marking a significant milestone in urban development along Sultanpur Road. This initiative will commence with the allotment of developed plots to landowners who participated under the land pooling policy, signaling the start of the project's first phase.

Plot Allotment Details and Process

A total of 870 residential plots will be allocated to 336 farmers who contributed their land to this expansive project. The allotment will be conducted through a transparent lottery system, ensuring fairness and equity in the distribution process. The draw is scheduled to take place at the Indira Gandhi Prathishthan, with landowners present to witness the proceedings firsthand.

The plots available in this initial phase vary in size, offering options from 35 square meters to 288 square meters to accommodate diverse housing needs. This range provides flexibility for different family sizes and residential preferences, enhancing the scheme's appeal.

Post-Allotment Plans and Public Access

Following the allotment to land pooling beneficiaries, the remaining plots will be opened for public registration, allowing broader access to this development. The proposed rate for these plots has been fixed at approximately Rs 4,000 per square foot for the general public, making it a competitive offering in the real estate market.

Project Scope and Infrastructure

The IT City project is being developed over a vast area of about 3,500 acres along Sultanpur Road, with eight sectors slated to be opened in the initial phase. Residential plots are strategically planned in sectors 15, 16, 17, and 18, while an IT hub is concurrently being developed near Bakkas village to foster technological growth and employment opportunities.

LDA Vice-Chairperson Prathamesh Kumar emphasized that all landowners who signed land pooling agreements will be eligible for allotment of developed plots under this scheme. As per the policy, these developed plots allotted to landowners will be provided free of cost, underscoring the benefits of participation in land pooling initiatives.

This launch represents a crucial step in Lucknow's urban expansion, integrating residential development with technological infrastructure to create a modern, sustainable community. The scheme aims to balance the interests of original landowners with public housing needs, driving economic and social progress in the region.
