Jaipur Development Authority Unveils Five New Land Pooling Schemes for Strategic Urban Growth
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has announced a significant initiative to propel planned urban expansion in the Pink City. The authority has proposed five new land pooling schemes, strategically designed to facilitate comprehensive development across industrial, residential, and mixed-use sectors. This move aims to address the growing demands of urbanization while ensuring structured growth in key areas.
Detailed Breakdown of the Proposed Schemes
Officials have revealed that two of the schemes are planned along Mahal Road, with three others proposed on Agra Road, Kalwar Road, and near Tonk Road in Sanganer. Each scheme targets specific developmental needs, contributing to a holistic urban landscape.
Industrial Focus in Ramchandrapura: JDA has identified a 127.08-hectare plot in Ramchandrapura, spanning Rampura and Kanwarpura villages. This area is earmarked largely for industrial use, with over 58% of the land allocated to industries and recreational spaces. The plan includes robust infrastructure, such as road networks up to 200 feet wide, to support industrial activities and enhance connectivity.
Residential Development in Vidhani and Surrounding Villages: A larger plot of 266.42 hectares, covering Vidhani, Rampura, Kanwarpura, Jaichandpura, and Vimalpura villages, has been selected primarily for residential development. This scheme aims to create sustainable housing solutions, catering to the increasing population and urban migration trends in Jaipur.
Heritage City Plan on Agra Road: On the northeastern outskirts, a plot near Khori Ropada village on Agra Road has been identified for development under the heritage city plan. This scheme incorporates both residential and industrial components, blending modern infrastructure with cultural preservation to maintain Jaipur's historical essence.
Mixed-Use Schemes on Kalwar Road and Muhana Mandi: A mixed-use scheme covering over 380 hectares is proposed on Kalwar Road, designed to integrate residential, commercial, and recreational facilities. Additionally, another scheme is planned in the Muhana Mandi area, where 62% of the land is designated for residential use, with provisions for public and semi-public spaces to foster community engagement.
