Homeland Group and VRC Secure Prime Mohali Land in Record GMADA Auction
In a landmark real estate transaction, Homeland Group, in collaboration with VRC, has successfully acquired two prime land parcels in Mohali through a recent e-auction conducted by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA). This acquisition underscores the robust demand for premium mixed-use developments in the region.
Details of the Land Acquisitions
The first parcel, spanning 5.5 acres, is strategically located opposite YPS School on the Chandigarh border. This prime site generated an impressive Rs 400 crore for GMADA, highlighting its high value and desirability. The second acquisition involves a 13-acre mixed-use parcel situated in Sector 62, at the heart of Mohali, further solidifying the partners' commitment to expanding their footprint in this burgeoning area.
Record-Breaking Auction Outcomes
The GMADA e-auction yielded significant results, with one of the mixed land-use sites fetching nearly Rs 70 crore per acre. This marks the highest bid recorded to date for mixed land-use development in a GMADA auction, reflecting intense competition and investor confidence in Mohali's real estate market. The auction's success signals a positive trend for future land sales and urban development projects in the region.
Future Development Plans
Umang Jindal, CEO of Homeland Group, expressed enthusiasm about the projects, stating that they will feature premium residential apartments thoughtfully integrated with commercial spaces on the ground and first floors. This mixed-use approach aims to create vibrant, self-sustaining communities that cater to modern lifestyle needs, blending luxury living with convenient retail and office facilities.
The acquisitions are expected to drive substantial economic growth in Mohali, attracting further investments and enhancing the city's infrastructure. As Chandigarh's neighboring hub, Mohali continues to emerge as a key destination for real estate development, with its strategic location and progressive urban planning.
