Developers raised these concerns during a recent meeting held on Friday, highlighting the growing crisis.

Developers gathered under the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), Ahmedabad chapter, to evaluate the deteriorating situation and its profound effects on both current and future projects. Attendees pointed to critical shortages in vital supplies such as aluminium pipes, CPVC products, ceramics, and electrical fittings, which they emphasized have substantially hindered construction progress.
Uncertainty in Cost Estimation Adds to Woes
The challenges have been exacerbated by suppliers' unwillingness to commit to fixed prices, leading to significant uncertainty in cost projections. This volatility makes it increasingly arduous for builders to plan budgets, issue tenders, and maintain delivery timelines, further straining operations.

Compounding the material issues, the sector is also grappling with a shortage of labor, which has slowed construction activities even more.
