Kanpur's Mission Employment to Host Mega Job Fairs Targeting 2,000 Youth
Kanpur Job Fairs Aim to Employ 2,000 Youth Across Four Locations

Kanpur Launches Major Employment Drive with Four Mega Job Fairs

In a significant push to boost local employment, the district working committee of Mission Employment in Kanpur has resolved to organize extensive job fairs at four strategic locations across the city. The ambitious initiative sets a clear target: to provide job opportunities for approximately 2,000 young individuals in the region.

Strategic Meeting Sets Employment Agenda

The crucial decision was finalized during a high-level meeting convened on Sunday evening. Presiding over the session was District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, who issued explicit directives to ensure that employment opportunities align precisely with the qualifications, skills, and trades of the district's youth. He emphasized the necessity for a systematic and results-oriented selection process to maximize effectiveness.

Four Key Venues Identified for Job Fairs

The committee has pinpointed four premier educational institutions as the venues for these large-scale employment events:

  • ITI Pandu Nagar
  • DBS College, Govind Nagar
  • Narayana Group of Institutions, Gangaganj, Panki
  • Dayanand Girls PG College, Civil Lines

Through these coordinated job fairs, the goal is to meticulously select 2,000 young candidates. Special instructions have been issued to prioritize suitable vacancies and trades, with a focused aim to enhance the participation of women workers in the workforce.

Scheduled Job Fair Dates and Logistics

The job fairs will roll out according to a carefully planned schedule:

  1. The inaugural job fair is scheduled for February 10 at Dayanand Girls Post Graduation Degree College, Civil Lines.
  2. The second event will take place on February 21 at DBS College, Govind Nagar.
  3. The third job fair is set for February 28 at Narayana Group of Institute, Gangaganj, Panki.

To streamline employer participation, the District Magistrate has instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Industries to compile and provide a comprehensive list of 25 employers, detailing the number of vacancies each offers. A mandatory requirement for all participating companies is registration on the official Rozgar Sangam portal (rojgar sangam.mp.gov.in).

Technological Integration for Precision Matching

In an innovative move to ensure optimal alignment between job seekers' educational backgrounds and employer requirements, consolidated data will be meticulously prepared and managed using a Google Sheet. This digital approach aims to facilitate a precise and efficient matching process.

Furthermore, it has been decided that all colleges, training institutes, and technology institutions within the district will be registered on the Employment Sangam portal. To simplify and accelerate the registration process for aspiring candidates, QR codes will be issued and extensively publicized across various platforms.

Streamlined Application Process for Job Seekers

Prospective candidates wishing to participate in these job fairs are required to apply online by scanning the QR code available on the Rozgar Sangam Portal. The committee has officially released the QR code for the Rozgar Sangam to ensure easy access and widespread dissemination.

High-Level Committee Oversight

The meeting witnessed the presence of several key officials, underscoring the initiative's importance. Attendees included Chief Development Officer Deeksha Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Industry, Deputy Director of Agriculture, District Horticulture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, and other officers from relevant departments, ensuring a multi-departmental collaborative effort.

This comprehensive employment drive by Mission Employment in Kanpur represents a proactive step towards addressing youth unemployment, leveraging technology, and fostering inclusive growth with a special focus on women's workforce participation.
