In a major boost to local employment, a one-day Rozgar Mela held at the Naraina Vidyapeeth campus in Ganga Ganj, Panki, Kanpur, on Saturday resulted in the recruitment of 792 aspirants by various companies. The event, which saw a total participation of 2,243 job seekers, was a collaborative effort between the regional employment office of Kanpur Nagar and the Naraina Group of Institutions, Panki.

Selection Process and Salary Details

Candidates were carefully selected or shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and performance in interviews. The positions offered monthly salaries ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000, catering to a diverse range of skill sets and experience levels. Appointment letters were formally distributed to the selected candidates by the chief guest during the ceremony, marking a significant step in their professional journeys.

Inauguration and Key Addresses

The programme was inaugurated by Ramesh Awasthi, MP for Kanpur Nagar, who began the event by garlanding the statue of goddess Saraswati and lighting a traditional lamp. In his address, Awasthi emphasized the importance of such job fairs as a powerful means of providing youth with employment opportunities across various fields. He encouraged the candidates to continually develop their skills and wished them a bright and successful future.

Ujjwal Kumar Singh, the Assistant Director (Employment) for Kanpur Division, provided detailed information on the utility of the Employment Portal and the outsourcing recruitment process.
