Indore: The first sign of on-ground industrial activity is set to emerge at Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar, with at least four textile units preparing to begin construction in the first and second quarters of the current fiscal.
Jain Cord Industries Pvt Ltd, Vibrant Polymers LLP, Vansh Technofab Pvt Ltd and Sanathan Polycot Pvt Ltd are among the early movers, marking a shift from allotments to execution at the integrated textile hub, according to the industries department.
The park has so far received investment proposals from 38 firms worth over Rs 21,500 crore, with potential to generate nearly 55,000 jobs. Around 1,140 acres have already been allotted, while lease execution and plot possession are being expedited ahead of the next phase.
Early Movers and Their Plans
DGM at Jain Cord Himanshu Patsariya said the company is targeting a production rollout by 2028. "This is our first investment in Madhya Pradesh. The policy framework and incentives at the park are expected to give us an edge in global markets. The integrated ecosystem was much needed to scale up production and exports," he said.
Gurugram-headquartered Jain Cord has proposed an investment of Rs 2,515 crore and acquired 58 acres in the park. Vibrant Polymers LLP managing partner Vivek Jain said construction is scheduled to begin in May. "The incentives are attractive and infrastructure is taking shape. We are aiming for an early rollout of production," he said.
The company, which manufactures woven sacks, has proposed an investment of Rs 50.61 crore and plans to generate around 150 jobs.
Government Vision and Infrastructure
The park is being developed under the Centre's 5F vision - farm to fibre to factory to fashion to foreign—aimed at creating an integrated manufacturing ecosystem, boosting innovation and reducing production costs across the textile value chain.
Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation executive director Himanshu Prajapati said the start of construction marks a key shift towards execution. "With early units beginning work, we expect momentum to build as infrastructure progresses, improving efficiency and competitiveness for industries in the park," he said.
National Context
Nationally, seven PM MITRA parks have been approved across states including Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra under a central outlay of Rs 4,445 crore, targeting large-scale textile investments and employment generation.
