In August 2025, AERA issued a draft order outlining provisional tariffs for a five-year control period, extending until March 31, 2031. The proposed user development fee (UDF) ranges from Rs 210 to Rs 980 per flyer. These tariffs encompass charges levied on airlines and cargo operators for utilizing airport infrastructure, including runways, terminals, and parking facilities.

The Noida International Airport is scheduled for inauguration on March 28 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Classified as a major airport under the AERA Act 2008, along with its amendments in 2019 and 2021, the project is being developed by YIAPL under the design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) model.
YIAPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, secured the concession in October 2020. Initially, the company submitted its multi-year tariff proposal in February 2024, assuming a commercial operations date (COD) of December 1, 2024. However, project delays necessitated revisions, with targets shifting to April 30, 2025, and subsequently to April 1, 2026.

In response to these delays, AERA has proposed aligning the COD with April 1, 2026. This adjustment ensures the tariff control period coincides with the financial year, facilitating a full five-year cycle for consistent revenue planning and operational stability.
