Kanpur MSME Conclave and Trade Show Wraps Up Successfully

The micro, small and medium enterprise conclave and a three-day regional trade show, jointly organized by the Agricultural University and MSME department, concluded on a high note at CSA Agriculture University in Kanpur. This event was held as part of the university's golden jubilee year celebrations, drawing significant attention from industry stakeholders and the local community.

Minister Rakesh Sachan Highlights Impact and Inspiration

Chief guest and MSME minister Rakesh Sachan was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the university's vice-chancellor, K Vijayendra Pandian. In his address, Minister Sachan emphasized the conclave's success, noting that over 150 stalls were set up to showcase various advanced technologies. He revealed that these exhibits inspired more than 2,500 youth to consider setting up their own industries, highlighting the event's role in fostering entrepreneurship.

The minister further stated that through the MSME department, more than three crore people in the state are benefiting from government initiatives. He underscored how these schemes are bringing tangible change to people's lives, providing everyone with opportunities to progress and thrive in the economic landscape.

Awards and Recognitions Galore at Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony was marked by several felicitations and awards. Twenty alumni of the university were honored for their contributions, while 40 artisans received the State Handicraft Award in recognition of their exceptional craftsmanship. Additionally, a series of awards were distributed under various schemes:

  • 5 awards under the Textile Policy
  • 20 awards under the Technology Upgradation Scheme
  • 3 awards under Pitch Tank Top
  • 29 entrepreneurs under the MSME State Award

These recognitions aimed to encourage innovation and excellence within the MSME sector.

Key Dignitaries and Vote of Thanks

The vote of thanks was proposed by Vice-Chancellor K Vijayendra Pandian, who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers. The event was attended by several notable figures, including Kaushal Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Rohit Anand, additional commissioner of industries; Director Extension VK Tripathi; university registrar Renu Singh; and Naseem Akhtar, along with numerous officers and scientists. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort behind the conclave's success, reinforcing its importance in promoting regional trade and industrial growth.
