Panchkula: HAFED and the Haryana Warehousing Corporation (HWC) have ramped up their wheat procurement and lifting operations across various mandis in Panchkula district during the ongoing Rabi marketing season 2026-27. According to the district food and supplies controller office, agencies have collectively procured 37,109 metric tonnes (MT) of wheat so far, of which 36,850 MT has already been lifted from the grain markets.
Procurement Details
Wheat procurement is currently underway at three key grain markets: Raipur Rani, Barwala, and Panchkula. In Raipur Rani mandi, HAFED has procured 4,800 MT, while HWC has purchased 13,697 MT. At Barwala, HAFED procured 7,850 MT and HWC 8,744 MT. In Panchkula mandi, HAFED has procured 2,028 MT so far.
Lifting Operations
Lifting operations have progressed in tandem with procurement. In Raipur Rani, HAFED lifted 4,800 MT and HWC lifted 13,687 MT. At Barwala, HAFED and HWC lifted 7,850 MT and 8,744 MT, respectively. In Panchkula mandi, HAFED has lifted 1,769 MT of wheat.
The coordinated efforts between HAFED and HWC have ensured smooth procurement and lifting, benefiting farmers in the region. The district administration continues to monitor the operations to maintain efficiency and transparency.
