Bharat Forge Limited has clinched significant defence contracts worth approximately Rs 300 crore. The Pune-based company's aerospace division secured these deals under the government's Emergency Procurement – VI framework.
Contracts for Indian Armed Forces
The contracts cover unmanned systems for both the Indian Army and Indian Navy. These include indigenous Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance platforms along with loitering munitions.
Bharat Forge named four specific platforms in their official statement:
- Omega One
- Omega Nine
- Bayonet
- Cleaver
The company developed these platforms specifically for India's urgent operational needs. They are designed to perform across diverse terrains and handle various mission profiles.
Recent Public Display
During the Army Day Parade in Jaipur on January 15, the Omega One platform made a public appearance. It was displayed mounted on an upgraded BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle.
Focus on Indigenous Solutions
Bharat Forge emphasized that these contracts demonstrate their commitment to India's self-reliance vision. The company statement highlighted their focus on delivering homegrown solutions that align with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The programs utilize expanded domestic production capacity to ensure quick delivery while maintaining quality standards. The company stressed reliability and scalability as key priorities.

Leadership Perspective
Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, commented on the achievement. He stated that securing these contracts while showcasing Omega One at Army Day reinforces their commitment to self-reliance.
"We are proud to equip our Armed Forces with India-specific, EW resistant, homegrown unmanned systems," Kalyani said in the company statement.
Recent Defence Orders
This announcement follows another significant defence contract awarded to Bharat Forge last month. The Ministry of Defence granted the company a Rs 1,661 crore contract for supplying over 2.55 lakh Close Quarter Battle Carbines to the Indian Army.
The latest contracts further strengthen Bharat Forge's position in India's defence manufacturing sector. They represent continued progress in developing indigenous defence capabilities while supporting national security requirements.
