Ather Electric Scooters Get Pricier: Up to Rs 3,000 Hike from Jan 1, 2026
Ather EV Scooter Prices to Rise by Rs 3,000 from 2026

Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy has officially declared a price increase for its entire range of electric scooters. The new, higher prices will be effective from January 1, 2026, giving potential buyers a limited window to purchase at current rates.

Reasons Behind the Price Revision

The company has cited a combination of macroeconomic factors necessitating the move. Rising global costs of raw materials, ongoing fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, and increased prices for crucial electronic components have collectively led to this decision. The price adjustment will see an increase of up to Rs 3,000, with the exact amount varying depending on the specific scooter model.

Last Chance to Buy: The 'Electric December' Campaign

For consumers considering an Ather scooter, December 2025 represents the final opportunity to lock in the current pricing. Ather is currently running its 'Electric December' promotional campaign, which provides substantial benefits to buyers in select cities.

The campaign offers combined benefits worth up to Rs 20,000. These incentives include:

  • Instant discounts on credit card EMI transactions.
  • Direct cash offers on purchases.
  • A complimentary eight-year extended battery warranty on select models.

To further ease ownership, Ather has partnered with multiple financiers for attractive loan schemes during this period.

Ather's Current Portfolio and Key Models

Ather's lineup prominently features the performance-oriented 450 series and its first family-focused scooter, the Rizta. The 450 range is packed with advanced features like multi-mode traction control, MagicTwist acceleration, and a host of connected technologies. These include Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp message integration on the dashboard, and seamless call and music controls.

The Ather Rizta, in particular, has been a major success story for the company, having recently crossed the significant milestone of two lakh (200,000) sales. This model has played a pivotal role in expanding Ather's retail footprint across India. Earlier this year, the company also announced a major update for the Rizta Z variant, which will now come equipped with touchscreen functionality.

Ather scooters are available for purchase through the brand's extensive network of Experience Centres nationwide and can also be bought online via e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
