PM Modi at HTLS 2025: India a Beacon of Growth Amid Global Uncertainty
PM Modi: India Writes Growth Stories Amid Global Slowdown

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful keynote address at the 23rd Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, outlining India's unique and confident position on the world stage. Speaking at the event themed "Transforming Tomorrow," the Prime Minister painted a picture of a resilient India that stands as a beacon of hope and innovation while major global economies face significant challenges.

India's Economic Resilience in a Volatile World

The Prime Minister drew a sharp contrast between India's economic trajectory and the global landscape. He pointed out that while global growth hovers around 3 percent and G7 economies struggle near 1.5 percent, India has established itself as a model of high growth coupled with low inflation. He emphasized that this is not a temporary phase but the result of a fundamental transformation over the past decade.

"When the world talks about a slowdown, India writes stories of growth," PM Modi stated. He described the current global juncture, marked by financial crises and a pandemic, as full of uncertainties. Yet, amid this, India is appearing in a "different league," brimming with self-confidence. This shift, he argued, represents more than just economic figures; it signifies a deep change in resilience, a solution-oriented mentality, and elevated national aspirations.

A Nation Transforming from the Ground Up

PM Modi highlighted how India's growth story is inclusive and geographically widespread. He noted that villages and smaller cities are now active participants in the nation's technological and economic progress. Smaller urban centers have evolved into vibrant hubs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), while farmers in rural areas are directly connecting to global supply chains.

Another significant change he underscored was the proactive nature of reforms. The Prime Minister observed that reforms in India were once reactionary, often introduced for political gain or to manage a crisis. Today, reform is a continuous process driven by the intent of "nation first," enabling steady growth across all sectors. He also proudly noted the global rise of Indian women and stressed the ongoing need to free the nation's mindset from colonial legacies even after 79 years of independence.

India as a Global Pillar of Trust and Innovation

Positioning India as a reliable and forward-looking partner, PM Modi asserted that when the world faces a trust crisis, India becomes a pillar of trust. The nation's journey, he explained, is about transforming not only its own present but also shaping the tomorrow that is to come. The summit itself, gathering leaders from politics, business, sports, health, science, and entertainment, aimed to capture this very spirit of innovation and resilience defining the era.

The Prime Minister's address made it clear that India views its current growth phase as a foundational change. The combination of economic stability, technological penetration at the grassroots, a reformed policy approach, and an unwavering focus on national interest is what, according to him, sets India apart as a story of success in an uncertain world.
