The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has officially appointed Kishore Alva as the chairman of its Karnataka state council for the upcoming 2026–27 term. Kishore Alva boasts an impressive career spanning over three decades, with deep expertise across multiple critical sectors. His professional journey includes leadership and strategic positions at prominent multinational corporations such as Cogentrix, CLP-I, and Unocal 76. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to policy advocacy and institutional strengthening through his involvement with the US-India Business Council (USIBC), where he played a key role in fostering business development and international trade relations.
Alva's prior experience in industry leadership is further highlighted by his tenure as president of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce during the 2018–19 period. In this capacity, he actively promoted industry-led initiatives, facilitated policy dialogue, and enhanced stakeholder engagement, laying a strong foundation for collaborative growth.
Current Roles and Future Vision
Currently serving as the executive director and president of the Adani Group in Karnataka, Alva also holds responsibilities in academia, having headed University Councils within the state.
