In a daring theft incident, unidentified miscreants made off with underground copper cables valued at Rs 4 lakh from an under-construction hot chips plant located at Rampur Sultani in the Palamu district. The theft has prompted swift action from local law enforcement authorities.

FIR Lodged by Plant Supervisor

According to police officials, a formal complaint was registered on Sunday by Pawan Singh, who serves as the supervisor of the plant known as Baba Stone Works. The first information report (FIR) was filed at the Harihurganj police station, detailing the stolen items and their estimated worth of Rs 4 lakh.

Police Investigation Underway

Officer in charge of the Harihurganj police station, Deobrat Poddar, confirmed that an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) has been deputed to investigate the case. The police are currently examining the crime scene and gathering evidence to identify the culprits involved in this theft. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
