Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday hosted an informal dinner for ministers, the chief secretary, the director general of police, secretaries, and heads of departments to celebrate receiving the Economic Times 'Business Reformer of the Year' award. The event, titled 'Dinner with the Real Winners,' was also attended by district- and mandal-level officials who had demonstrated notable performance in their respective departments. Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister Payyavula Keshav coordinated the event.
CM's Address at Pre-Dinner Meeting
Before the dinner, the chief minister held a meeting with ministers and senior officials, where he stated that the award was the result of Team Andhra Pradesh's collective effort. He emphasized that the officials present were the real contributors to this recognition. Minister Keshav briefed the gathering on the developments following the state's bifurcation and how the state had regressed by several years during the previous government's tenure. He noted that reforms have been a core part of Naidu's political ethos, recalling that initiatives in power, open sky policy, telecom, information technology, drip irrigation, and the public-private partnership model were initiated when Andhra Pradesh was a united state under Naidu's leadership.
Discussion on Future Priorities
The meeting also discussed priorities for the coming period, including programs to be implemented by the government, targets to be achieved, and strategies and policies to be followed to maintain the reform momentum. Senior officials and ministers exchanged views on improving administrative outcomes and coordination across departments. The chief minister underlined the need to sustain reform-led governance through teamwork and consistent performance.
Upcoming Events
On Friday, Naidu will visit Pamidimukkala in Krishna district to participate in the 'Pedalo Sevalo' pension distribution program. He will also inaugurate L V Prasad's Eye Institute at Gudlavalleru.
