A core focus of the port's CSR programme is creating long-term, sustainable earning opportunities for marginalized communities. Notably, more than 100 people with disabilities are currently benefiting from various tailored livelihood development schemes. These initiatives are designed to provide skill training and resources, enabling economic independence and social integration.
A Beacon of Hope: Lighthouse Kuppam General Store
A concrete example of this effort came to life on December 19. Cherian Abraham, the Business Head of Adani Kattupalli and Ennore Port, inaugurated a general shop in Lighthouse Kuppam. This venture was specifically established to secure and improve the livelihood of a person with disability. The inauguration event saw the presence of local community leaders from Lighthouse Kuppam and the neighboring Gunankuppam village, highlighting strong grassroots support.
