BLDE Institution Supports Two Needy MBBS Students

In a heartening initiative, the BLDE Institution has extended financial assistance to two economically disadvantaged yet academically meritorious students who secured MBBS seats under the government quota after clearing the NEET examination. The support was announced during a ceremony held in Vijayapura on Sunday.

Financial Aid Distribution

Industries, Infrastructure Development Minister and BLDE Institution President MB Patil handed over cheques to Udaykumar Narayanakar from Alamel and Manohar Harage from Ratnapur. The funds are intended to cover their tuition fees, hostel charges, and mess expenses for the MBBS course. Patil encouraged the students to pursue their studies with dedication, emphasizing that the assistance aims to help them fulfill their aspirations while bringing pride to their families and the Vijayapura district.

Stories of the Beneficiaries

Udaykumar Narayanakar, who secured a seat at Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, shared that his parents, Sanjeevkumar and Mahadevi, work as agricultural laborers. He expressed gratitude for the Rs 1.8 lakh support, stating, 'This aid will help me pay my fees and bring me closer to my dream of becoming a pediatrician.'

Manohar Harage, admitted to BMRCI Medical College in Bengaluru, comes from a family of small farmers. His parents, Basappa and Yamanavva, own just two acres of land. With a brother pursuing a BA and a sister in first-year PUC, the Rs 1.2 lakh assistance is crucial. Harage said, 'This support enables me to pursue my goal of becoming a cardiologist. I hope to serve the poor once I become a doctor.'
