US Reveals Massive 150+ Aircraft Operation Against Venezuela: 'Absolute Resolve'
US Military Details Operation Absolute Resolve Against Venezuela

In a detailed revelation, the top US military official has outlined the scale and precision of a major American military operation targeting Venezuela. General Dan Caine, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated that the mission, codenamed Operation Absolute Resolve, was the result of months of meticulous planning and extensive interagency coordination, not a spur-of-the-moment action.

Months of Planning and Interagency Coordination

General Caine emphasised that the operation was built on a foundation of long-standing cooperation between various US agencies and military branches. "Our interagency work began months ago and built on decades of experience of integrating complex air, ground, space, and maritime operations," he explained. He described a posture of disciplined patience in the lead-up, stating that US forces "watched, waited, and prepared" while maintaining professionalism.

Sheer Scale: Over 150 Aircraft Deployed

The chairman unveiled the enormous scope of the mission, which saw assets launching from multiple locations across the Western Hemisphere. More than 150 aircraft were involved in the closely coordinated effort. The formidable force included a wide array of advanced military hardware:

  • Stealth fighters like the F-22 and F-35
  • F-18 and EA-18G Growler electronic attack aircraft
  • E-2 Hawkeye airborne early warning planes
  • B-1 Lancer strategic bombers
  • Numerous remotely piloted drones and support aircraft

Precision Timing of the Maduro Compound Raid

General Caine provided precise details about the raid on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro's compound. The operation commenced at 1:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (2:01 a.m. local Caracas time). The apprehension force executed the mission with swift precision. "The apprehension force descended into Maduro’s compound and moved with speed, precision and discipline towards their objective and isolated the area to ensure the safety and security of the ground force," Caine said.

Future Readiness and Mission Posture

Concluding his remarks, General Caine reinforced that the US military remains on high alert and prepared for potential future missions of a similar nature. He underscored this continued state of readiness by reiterating, "There is always a chance that we’ll be tasked to do this type of mission again." This statement signals that the US maintains its operational posture for potential actions in the region, following the extensive deployment seen in Operation Absolute Resolve.
