Iran has issued a fiery new warning to the United States and Israel amid escalating fears of a wider Middle East war. Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami vowed that Iran’s armed forces would defend the country “to the last drop of blood” and protect its territorial integrity “with all their might.”
Hatami's Defiant Statement
In a dramatic statement, Hatami claimed that Iran’s aging F-5 fighter jets were capable of penetrating advanced U.S. defense systems and striking deep inside enemy positions. He attributed this capability to the “power of faith,” asserting that spiritual strength allows Iranian forces to overcome sophisticated military technology.
Diplomatic Tensions
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Washington of sending “contradictory statements” and engaging in “irrational rhetoric.” He emphasized that mistrust remains the biggest obstacle in negotiations with the United States, further complicating efforts to de-escalate tensions.
These developments come as the region braces for potential conflict, with Iran’s military leadership signaling unwavering resolve. The statements underscore the deep mistrust between Tehran and Washington, with both sides exchanging warnings amid ongoing geopolitical maneuvering.
