A tragic road accident in Jharkhand's Jamtara district claimed the life of a youth and left three others injured in the early hours of Saturday. The incident occurred near Mirga village under the Narayanpur police station area when an SUV carrying passengers overturned.
Details of the Accident
The SUV was carrying residents of Dargah Tola in Narodih village, who had attended a wedding in Champapur village. While returning home at around 1 am, the vehicle reportedly went out of control and overturned near Mirga village. All passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in Narayanpur with the assistance of local residents.
Casualties and Medical Response
According to a police officer from Narayanpur police station, doctors at the private hospital declared 18-year-old Miraj Ansari dead on arrival. The injured individuals—Irfan Ansari (18), Khalil Ansari (19), and Idu Mian (35)—were later referred to Dhanbad for advanced treatment due to their critical condition. The officer added that Miraj Ansari's body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination at Jamtara Sadar Hospital on Saturday.
Family's Grief
Family members expressed deep sorrow, stating that Miraj was the only son of his parents. The accident has left the community in mourning.
