One Year of Operation Sindoor: IAF Video Shows Strikes on Terror Camps in Pakistan
Operation Sindoor Anniversary: IAF Video Shows Pakistan Strikes

The Indian Air Force (IAF) marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor by releasing a video that highlights the strikes on terrorist camps and military targets in Pakistan. The operation, launched on May 7, 2025, was India's major military response to cross-border terrorism following the Baisaran Valley attack.

Video Released at Anniversary Moment

The IAF shared the video at 1:05 am, precisely one year after the operation began. The footage shows fighter jets taking off and naval assets deployed, emphasizing the tri-services nature of the mission. It includes visuals of damaged terror infrastructure and lists nine targeted locations: Sawai Nala, Syedna Bilal, Kotli Abbas, Kotli Gulpur, and Bhimber in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, along with Mehmooda Joya, Sarjal Launchpad, Muridke, and Bahawalpur in Pakistan.

Prime Minister's Speech in Video

The video also features an older speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who stated that "terror and talks cannot go together," "terror and trade cannot go together," and "water and blood cannot go together."

Background of Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22, 2025 terror attack in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, where 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed. India carried out precision strikes on terror-linked infrastructure, described by the government as "focused, measured, and non-escalatory," and clarified that Pakistani military facilities were not targeted.

Diplomatic and Other Measures

Following the strikes, India escalated diplomatic pressure by placing the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance, suspending visa services for Pakistani nationals, revoking existing visas, and advising Indian citizens against traveling to Pakistan. Tensions remained high for several days, with cross-border firing and aerial activity, until both sides agreed to halt military actions on May 10, 2025, after talks between their Directors General of Military Operations.
