A tragic road accident on a national highway near Amravati claimed the lives of a young couple who were married just three months ago. Puran Kaushal Kothar, 28, and his wife Vaishnavi, 21, died on the spot after a speeding bus collided with their two-wheeler on Thursday night.

Details of the Incident

The accident occurred near the Varuda turn under Badnera Police Station limits. According to police reports, Puran was riding a two-wheeler with Vaishnavi from Pawan Nagar in Badnera to their native village, Pala Dabha. While crossing the highway at the Varuda turn, a speeding bus rammed into their vehicle. The impact was so severe that both were thrown several meters onto the road.

Local residents immediately called an ambulance and rushed the couple to the District General Hospital. Puran succumbed to his injuries late at night during treatment, and Vaishnavi died moments later.

The Badnera Police have impounded the bus and taken the driver into custody. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
