Chandigarh Weather Update: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Over Next Two Days
Residents of the Tricity region, including Chandigarh, should prepare for unsettled weather conditions over the coming days. The Meteorological department has issued a forecast predicting partly cloudy skies accompanied by rain and thunderstorms for February 1 and 2.
Detailed Temperature Outlook and Weather Patterns
Daytime temperatures are anticipated to remain on the cooler side during this period. On Sunday, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 22°C, while Monday may see it drop slightly to approximately 21°C. Night-time conditions will be chilly, with minimum temperatures expected to range between 9°C and 10°C.
In contrast to the upcoming wet spell, the past 24 hours in Chandigarh remained dry. However, dense to very dense fog was reported at isolated locations across neighboring Punjab and Haryana. Chandigarh itself recorded a maximum temperature of 20.7°C, which is below the seasonal normal, while the minimum settled at 7.7°C.
Post-February 2 Weather Improvement
The Met department indicates that weather conditions are set to improve significantly after February 2. From February 3 onward, residents can look forward to mostly clear skies, marking a return to more stable and pleasant weather patterns. This shift should provide relief from the anticipated rain and thunderstorm activity.
Local authorities advise caution during the forecasted thunderstorms and recommend staying updated with the latest weather bulletins. The combination of rain and lower temperatures may affect daily routines, so planning accordingly is suggested.
