According to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Lakshmanan Ramesh Babu, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2005 batch, will take up his new assignment shortly. He has been serving as the Consul General of India in Atlanta, United States. His appointment as the next Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire reflects India's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with the West African nation.
Vinay Kumar's Diplomatic Posting
Vinay Kumar, a 2009-year-of-allotment officer, is currently serving as a Director in the Ministry of External Affairs. He has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, an island nation in Central Africa. The MEA release confirmed that he is expected to assume his duties soon.
Both appointments are part of India's ongoing efforts to enhance diplomatic engagement and cooperation with African countries.
