JAMMU: At least four people, including two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, sustained minor injuries on Tuesday when a bus ferrying BSF men for deployment on Amarnath Yatra duty collided with two other vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway 44 in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district.
Accident Details
According to officials, the bus first hit a passenger vehicle before crashing into a tractor-trolley along the busy highway near Peerah. The injured individuals were identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sanjeet Kumar and Head Constable Arveen Kumar, along with two other occupants of the vehicles involved.
Injuries and Medical Response
All four injured persons were promptly shifted to the Ramban district hospital, where they received medical treatment. Hospital authorities stated that their condition is stable and they are under observation. No fatalities were reported in the incident.
Traffic Disruption and Clearance Operations
The accident resulted in the temporary closure of the NH-44's uptube lane at the accident spot. Authorities immediately launched clearance operations to restore normal vehicular movement. Traffic was diverted through alternative routes during the clearance process.
Investigation Underway
