The maximum temperature fell to around 28 degrees Celsius, several notches below the seasonal average. Farmers in the surrounding rural areas welcomed the rain as it is beneficial for the ongoing kharif crop sowing, especially paddy and maize.

The district administration and municipal corporation officials swung into action, deploying pumps to clear water from major roads and affected areas. Teams were also sent to clear uprooted trees and restore power supply. The authorities urged residents to stay indoors unless necessary and to avoid driving through waterlogged roads. A helpline number was issued for people to report emergencies.
Weather officials have predicted more rain in the coming days, with a yellow alert issued for the region. Residents are advised to remain cautious and take preventive measures against potential flooding.
