Expected Specifications for Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has been the focus of numerous leaks ahead of the launch. Several photos and renders circulating online suggest that the phone retains a similar overall form factor to last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra, though the camera module appears to have undergone a redesign.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which Samsung previously announced has been optimized specifically for Galaxy devices. The phone is said to support up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
On the camera front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to boast a quad-camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and an additional 10MP shooter. The phone is expected to run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box.
For battery life, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may house a 5,000mAh cell with support for 60W wired charging—an improvement from the 45W charging on the Galaxy S25 Ultra—along with 20W wireless charging.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S26 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Galaxy S26+ may feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Both models will reportedly offer up to a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection, and they are likely to be equipped with Samsung's flagship octa-core Exynos 2600 chipset.
They may carry triple rear camera units, featuring a 50MP main shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capabilities, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may be backed by 4,300mAh and 4,900mAh batteries, respectively.
