Honda Cars India has launched the highly anticipated Honda City facelift sedan in the Indian market. The updated City comes with cosmetic design changes, a refreshed interior, and additional features. It continues to compete with the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna. Price and Variants

The Honda City facelift is offered in several variants. The entry-level SV petrol manual is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The V trim costs Rs 13.29 lakh for the manual and Rs 14.29 lakh for the CVT. The ZX variant is priced at Rs 15.25 lakh (manual) and Rs 16.25 lakh (CVT). The top-end ZX+ variant is available at Rs 16.14 lakh (manual) and Rs 17.14 lakh (CVT). The strong hybrid variant is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Verna facelift gets new variant names: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8, and HX10. Its price ranges from Rs 10.98 lakh to Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Dimensions

The Hyundai Verna facelift measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,475 mm in height, with a 2,670 mm wheelbase, 165 mm ground clearance, and a 528-litre boot. The Honda City facelift measures 4,584 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width, 1,489 mm in height, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase, 165 mm ground clearance, and a 506-litre boot. Compared to the City, the Verna is 49 mm shorter, 17 mm wider, and 14 mm lower, with a 70 mm longer wheelbase and 22 litres more boot space.

Powertrain

The Hyundai Verna offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 115 PS and 143 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT; and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol generating 160 hp and 253 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The Honda City comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder NA petrol engine delivering 121 bhp and 145 Nm, paired with a 6-speed MT or CVT. It also offers a segment-first hybrid powertrain: a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle hybrid engine with 124 hp and 253 Nm, claiming a fuel efficiency of 27.26 kmpl.

Features

The Honda City facelift retains its overall layout but adds cosmetic updates. It now features a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a sunroof, rear windscreen sunshade, automatic climate control, and more. Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS, lane watch camera, rain-sensing wipers, hill-start assist, and Level 2 ADAS.

The Verna facelift offers leatherette upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, dual 10.25-inch screens, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, Bose speakers, a surround-view camera, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, a blind-spot monitor, a rear window sunshade, connected car tech, a built-in dashcam, seven airbags, and more.
