33rd Convergence India & 11th Smart Future Cities Expo to Propel AI, 6G, and Urban Transformation
The 33rd Convergence India & 11th Smart Future Cities India Expo 2026 is poised to be a landmark event in India's digital and urban development landscape. Jointly organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and Exhibitions India Group (EIG), with support from key initiatives like IndiaAI Mission, Digital India, and MeitY, this expo will take place from March 23 to 25, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Global Participation and Cutting-Edge Technologies
This three-day extravaganza will attract participants from 25 countries, drawing an audience exceeding 50,000. It will feature state-of-the-art advancements across multiple sectors, including telecom, satcom, 6G, artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, cybersecurity, smart governance, fintech, semiconductors, embedded technology, and smart mobility. The event aims to foster innovation and collaboration on a global scale.
Distinguished Speakers and Industry Leaders
The expo will host a prestigious lineup of over 200 speakers from government and industry. Notable figures include Anil Kumar Lahoti, Chairman of TRAI; Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics & IT and CEO of IndiaAI Mission; A. Dhanalakshmi, Joint Secretary at the Department of Science & Technology; Dr. J. B. V. Reddy, Head of the Quantum Technology Cell at DST; Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow; and H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, Ambassador of Spain.
Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister for MSME, emphasized the event's significance, stating, "Convergence India has long been a champion of India’s digital revolution, while Smart Cities India has played a crucial role in the country’s modernization initiatives. By supporting the Government of India’s vision of 'Digital India', 'Make in India', and 'Smart Cities Mission', this expo provides an international forum to showcase 'Brand India' and unlock new economic opportunities."
Focus on AI and Technological Democratization
Abhishek Singh highlighted the India AI Mission's goals, saying, "MeitY is focused on democratizing AI capabilities, accelerating innovation, enabling responsible AI adoption, and strengthening domestic capacity in emerging technologies. This expo brings together government, industry, academia, startups, and international participants, reinforcing India’s position as a trusted global technology partner and investment destination."
Startup Hub and Innovation Showcase
Under the theme "India’s Impact: Tech Today, Transformation Tomorrow," the expo will align with government initiatives like Digital India and Make in India. The Startup Hub offers a dedicated platform for early-stage startups to pitch ideas, network with investors, and gain mentorship. Past winners, such as Fuselage Innovation, Proxgy, and Nimble Vision, have leveraged this hub to achieve global acclaim and secure international contracts and funding.
International Collaboration and Exhibitor Highlights
This year's edition features enhanced international collaboration with Country Pavilions from Moscow, Taiwan (Taiwan Excellence), and New Zealand. The Taiwan AI Island pavilion will showcase advanced AI technologies. Over 1,000 brands will exhibit, including industry giants like Tesla, Microsoft, Qualcomm, MG Motor, Mahindra, Zoom, Canara Bank, Union Bank, Godrej, and Honeywell. Tesla will display its latest automotive innovations and the Optimus humanoid robot in Hall 1.
SIAM Lab and Creator's Session
A key highlight is the debut of the SIAM Lab – Smart Integrated Automotive Mobility Lab – created by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) as part of the co-located Smart Mobility India Expo. This pavilion will unite automotive OEMs, technology leaders like Google and Qualcomm, and innovators to drive mobility solutions.
On Day 3, a Creator's Session titled "The Future of Influence: Creators in the Age of AI & Algorithms" will be moderated by Aayush Ailawadi and feature digital creators such as Anuj Chauhan, Karan Lohia, Arvind Kharra, and Yash Sethi. This panel will explore how content creators navigate AI-driven platforms and algorithmic changes.
Conference Themes and Expert Insights
The conference will gather policymakers and technology experts, including Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD of NICDC; Graham Rouse, New Zealand Consul-General; Suvendu Pati, Chief General Manager-FinTech at RBI; and leaders from companies like Google Cloud, Meta, AWS, Infosys, and Tata Communications. Sessions will delve into AI, digital public infrastructure, India's transition from 5G to 6G, quantum technologies, fintech innovation, and sustainable urban development.
