GTA 6 Pre-Orders Begin June 25, Cover Art Unveiled

Rockstar Games has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will commence on June 25. The Take-Two Interactive-owned studio also unveiled the game's official cover art for the first time. Pre-orders will be available through digital storefronts and select retailers, though pricing details and available editions have not yet been disclosed.

Pre-Order Date Announcement

In a post on X, Rockstar confirmed: "Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers." The company did not specify the exact time pre-orders will go live, nor did it reveal the game's price. This has sparked speculation among fans and analysts, especially after Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick argued that game prices have not risen significantly in the past decade, suggesting GTA 6 could launch at a higher price than the current $70 standard.

How to Pre-Order GTA 6

Players can pre-order digitally through the PlayStation Store and Xbox storefront starting June 25. Physical copies will be available via participating retailers expected to open reservations around the same time. The game is slated for release on November 19 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC version announced at launch.

Game Details and Setting

GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. It follows protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a criminal duo who become entangled in a wider conspiracy after a failed bank robbery. Rockstar and Take-Two have indicated increased marketing activity over the summer as the release date approaches.

Official Cover Art

Alongside the announcement, Rockstar unveiled the official cover art featuring Lucia and Jason at the center, surrounded by characters, vehicles, weapons, and wildlife. Notable elements include supporting character Boobie Ike, veteran bank robber Raul Bautista, sports cars, boats, helicopters, law enforcement vehicles, and an alligator. The artwork was released via a short teaser video without a new gameplay trailer.

The pre-order announcement reinforces confidence in the November 19 launch window, following previous delays. Players can wishlist the game on console storefronts to receive updates when pre-orders go live.
