Nvidia Introduces GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming Service in India with Early Access Launch

Nvidia has officially launched its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service in early access across India, providing gamers with the ability to stream PC titles directly from the cloud. This innovative service eliminates the need for expensive hardware, allowing users to play high-end games on various devices without downloads or patches.

Powerful Hardware Backbone: RTX 5080 SuperPODs

The service is powered by Nvidia's advanced Blackwell RTX architecture, specifically utilizing RTX 5080 SuperPODs. Each SuperPOD delivers impressive performance with 62 teraflops of compute power and a 48GB frame buffer, making it 2.8 times faster than previous server generations. This hardware ensures smooth and responsive gameplay for all users.

Seamless Integration and High-Performance Features

Gamers can connect their existing game libraries from popular platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect, or GOG. The service supports a wide range of devices, including PCs, Macs, smartphones, smart TVs, and handheld gadgets. Key performance features include:

  • Cinematic Quality Streaming: Combines AV1 encoding, AI video enhancements, and 4:4:4 chroma with 10-bit HDR for sharper text and richer detail, even under varying network conditions.

Extensive Game Library and Storage Options

GeForce NOW offers access to over 4,500 titles, ranging from free-to-play games like Counter-Strike 2 to major AAA releases such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5. The service includes Install-to-Play titles, which are downloaded directly to cloud storage using Nvidia NVMesh technology. Ultimate and Performance passes come with 100GB of single-session storage, and an optional 200GB persistent storage add-on is available for additional flexibility.

Pricing Structure and Availability

Early access pricing in India is based on 90-day passes, with the Performance tier priced at Rs 999 and the Ultimate tier at Rs 1,999. The optional 200GB persistent storage add-on costs Rs 299. A free tier is expected to be introduced in the coming weeks. Invites for early access are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested gamers can join the waitlist via the official GeForce NOW website.

This launch marks a significant step in making high-quality cloud gaming accessible to Indian gamers, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver an immersive and convenient gaming experience.
