Boosting Assam's Startup Ecosystem

A major focus of this collaboration will be to energise Assam's startup and innovation ecosystem by enabling startups, entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, and academic institutions to leverage BHASHINI's language technology stack for building innovative multilingual AI use cases. The partnership also aims to promote the practical use of language technologies across sectors and create opportunities for innovators to develop solutions tailored to local languages and regional needs.

Impact on Digital Inclusion

By enhancing language technology infrastructure, the MoU is expected to significantly improve digital inclusion in Assam. The use of BHASHINI's tools will allow citizens to access digital services in their native languages, breaking down language barriers. This initiative aligns with the broader Digital India vision of making technology accessible to all, regardless of linguistic background.
