Ayodhya Ram Mandir Kitchen Switches to PNG, Green Gas Limited Connects Maa Sita Rasoi
Ayodhya Ram Mandir Kitchen Switches to PNG

In a significant move towards sustainable energy, Green Gas Limited (GGL) has connected the Maa Sita rasoi, the kitchen facility inside the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi mandir complex in Ayodhya, to the piped natural gas (PNG) network. This transition marks a shift away from the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the temple's kitchen.

Inauguration of PNG Connection

The PNG connection was officially inaugurated by GGL managing director Girija Shankar and director (commercial) Rajkishor Behera. The event underscores the commitment to providing clean and efficient energy solutions for the temple's daily operations.

Pipeline Infrastructure

To facilitate this connection, a 2.5-kilometer medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) pipeline network was laid from Parag Ayodhya to the Sita rasoi. This infrastructure ensures a reliable supply of natural gas for cooking purposes.

Current and Future Utilization

Currently, the kitchen is equipped with a three-burner stove and two single-burner stoves, which are used to prepare prasad and other food offerings. In the future, the number of stoves may be increased to meet growing demand, further enhancing the kitchen's capacity.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote the use of natural gas as a cleaner alternative to LPG, reducing carbon emissions and supporting environmental sustainability. The shift to PNG is expected to bring cost savings and operational efficiency to the temple kitchen.
