A three-phase rooftop solar project at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a part of the Tata Memorial Centre in Navi Mumbai, has been successfully completed. The initiative was implemented by the Centre for Environmental Research and Education in collaboration with BNP Paribas India.
Financial and Environmental Impact
The solar installation is projected to generate 3.59 crore units of electricity over its 25-year lifespan, leading to savings of more than Rs 37 crore in electricity costs. This substantial reduction in operational expenses will allow the institution to redirect funds toward enhancing patient care and research activities.
