A complaint has been lodged with the Belagavi Cyber Crime police station against unidentified persons for allegedly operating a fake Facebook account and posting defamatory content targeting former minister Satish Jarkiholi.

Complaint Details

The complaint was filed by Valmiki community leader Rajashekhar Talawar, who alleged that a Facebook account named 'Karunada Kurubagoudru Mattu Bandaya Dhwani' had circulated false and misleading information with the intention of tarnishing Jarkiholi's reputation.

According to the complaint, the account published a post claiming that Satish Jarkiholi had collected signatures from 37 MLAs against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and that the latter's resignation was a direct consequence of the alleged letter.
