National Cyber Security Initiative Launched in Visakhapatnam to Fortify Digital India
A significant national-level cyber security awareness and training initiative was officially launched in Visakhapatnam, commonly known as Vizag, on Tuesday. This strategic move aims to bolster the digital safety framework across India by fostering a collaborative effort among key organizations.
Memorandum of Understanding Inked for Enhanced Protection
A pivotal memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Citizen Force, TEMA, CMAI, and CSAI. This agreement marks a crucial step towards establishing a robust protective shield for Digital India, addressing the escalating threats in the cyber domain.
Police Commissioner Warns of Rising Cybercrimes
During the launch event, Vizag Police Commissioner Dr. Shankabrata Bagchi delivered a compelling address. He emphasized the sharp increase in cybercrimes and called upon the public, particularly the youth, to exercise heightened vigilance. Dr. Bagchi urged caution against online fraud and advised prudent social media usage to mitigate risks.
Training Over One Lakh Youth in AI and Cyber Security
The core objective of this collaborative initiative is to empower the younger generation with essential skills. It plans to train more than one lakh youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security through practical, industry-aligned programmes. This training is designed to equip participants with hands-on experience and knowledge, preparing them for the evolving digital landscape.
