Pan-IIT Summit 2026 in Bengaluru on Technology Sovereignty

The Pan IIT Alumni India Association, in collaboration with the Karnataka government, will organize the Pan-IIT Bengaluru Summit 2026 in the city on May 16. The summit will be held under the theme 'technology sovereignty', announced Pankaj Kumar Pandey, principal secretary of the e-governance department.

Summit Highlights

Pan IIT president Prabhat Kumar stated that the summit will feature high-level plenary sessions, panel discussions, and parallel tracks covering artificial intelligence, defence, semiconductors, energy, mobility, and healthcare. Selected startups will have the opportunity to connect with over 200 venture capitalists through a pitch-hackathon. Additionally, a hackathon involving 10,000 participants will address real-world problems posed by the government.

Platform for Collaboration

The summit aims to bring together over 500,000 alumni from 23 IITs, creating a platform for collaboration across technology, business, and policy. The day-long event will include keynote sessions, CXO roundtables, startup showcases, hackathons, and innovation exhibitions.
