Kerala Hosts AI Future Con in Kovalam Ahead of Delhi's AI Impact Summit 2026
Kerala AI Future Con Sets Stage for National AI Summit

In a significant move to position itself at the forefront of technological adoption, the Government of Kerala is set to host a major artificial intelligence summit. The one-day event, titled 'Kerala AI Future Con', will be held at Kovalam on January 23, acting as a strategic precursor to the larger AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled for February in New Delhi.

Global Gathering to Shape Kerala's AI Vision

The conference is expected to draw a prestigious assembly of international delegates and industry leaders. Participants will include representatives from nearly 100 countries and executives from leading global technology companies. This diverse gathering aims to foster in-depth dialogues on harnessing AI for comprehensive development.

The summit's core objective is to align cutting-edge AI technologies with Kerala's unique developmental goals. Discussions will transcend mere technical aspects, focusing instead on practical, ground-level applications that can transform public life and the economy.

Five Pillars of Discussion

The agenda for the Kerala AI Future Con is built around five critical thematic areas that are crucial for the state's future:

  • Governance and Public Service Delivery: Exploring how AI can make government services more efficient, transparent, and accessible to every citizen.
  • Industrial Development and Economic Growth: Identifying AI-driven strategies to boost Kerala's industries, foster innovation, and create new economic opportunities.
  • Healthcare and Social Development: Delving into applications of AI that can revolutionize medical diagnostics, treatment plans, and social welfare systems.
  • Education and Skill Development: Planning for an AI-augmented education system that prepares Kerala's youth for the jobs of the future.
  • Sustainability and Development: Integrating AI solutions with sustainable practices to ensure environmentally responsible growth.

Charting the Roadmap and Showcasing Innovation

The event will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, underscoring the state government's commitment to this technological transition. A central highlight of the summit will be the crucial deliberations aimed at finalizing a concrete and actionable AI roadmap for Kerala.

Running parallel to the conference sessions will be a dedicated AI exhibition. This showcase will provide a tangible glimpse into the latest innovations, platforms, and solutions in the artificial intelligence domain, offering networking opportunities for startups, developers, and policymakers.

A Collaborative Initiative

This regional AI impact summit is not an isolated effort. It is being organized under the leadership of the Information Technology Department, the national India AI Mission, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The coordination on the ground is a collaborative effort managed by key state bodies, which are the official partners of the event. These include the Kerala State IT Mission, Kerala IT, the Kerala Startup Mission, Digital University, C-DIT, and ICFOSS.

By convening this summit, Kerala aims to solidify its strategy and build crucial partnerships before the national congregation in Delhi, ensuring its developmental vision is prominently integrated into the country's broader AI narrative.
