Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Temple Embraces AI with 'Ask Nandi' Chatbot
In a significant step towards digital transformation, the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust (SKVTT) in Varanasi has unveiled an innovative AI-driven chatbot named 'Ask Nandi'. This advanced tool is designed to bring comprehensive temple information and services to devotees across the globe, enhancing accessibility and convenience.
Comprehensive Services at Your Fingertips
The chatbot, available on the temple's official website and digital platforms, offers a wide array of features:
- Booking Services: Facilitates reservations for 'Sugam Darshan', 'Mangala Aarti', special aartis, and other rituals directly through the interface.
- Prasad Ordering: Guides users on how to order the temple's sacred prasad from the comfort of their homes.
- Accommodation Management: Allows pilgrims to check room availability and book guest houses operated by the trust.
- 24/7 Information Access: Provides accurate details on temple timings, including opening and closing hours, as well as schedules for various rituals.
Interactive and Intelligent Assistance
Unlike previous digital platforms that offered only one-way communication, 'Ask Nandi' enables interactive dialogue. Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, CEO of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, emphasized this advancement, stating, "Now, by accessing this AI chatbot, you can ask questions. You can inquire about the best time for darshan or when crowds are lightest, and the AI will analyze data to deliver precise responses."
This marks a departure from earlier systems where devotees had to manually search for information, making the experience more user-friendly and efficient.
Multilingual Support for Global Devotees
To cater to a diverse audience, the chatbot supports multiple languages, including Hindi, English, and various regional tongues. This feature ensures that both domestic and international devotees can easily access services without language barriers.
Bridging Tradition with Technology
Mishra highlighted how this initiative aligns with Varanasi's reputation as a hub where ancient traditions meet modern innovation. "This facility will not only improve communication between devotees and temple administration but also make their pilgrimage more convenient by offering correct and timely information, especially during festivals and peak seasons," he explained.
The launch of 'Ask Nandi' builds upon the temple's existing digital services, such as online darshan, website-based bookings, and donation facilities, which have been operational for several years. This latest addition represents a forward-looking approach to serving the spiritual community in an increasingly connected world.
