GeneralMind Secures $12 Million Funding for AI-Powered Workflow Automation
Tushar Ahluwalia has successfully raised $12 million for his latest venture, GeneralMind. The AI startup emerged from stealth mode just months after beginning operations. Ahluwalia previously co-founded ecommerce aggregator Razor Group and consumer fashion platform StalkBuyLove.
Investor Backing and Company Vision
Venture capital firms Lakestar, Leo Capital, Lucid Capital, Heliad and BOOOM led the early-stage equity round. Angel investors Alexander Kudlich, Jens Urbaniak and Samir Sood also participated in the funding. GeneralMind operates as an autonomous layer designed to execute repetitive operational workflows. The platform sits between enterprise systems of record like ERPs and day-to-day execution teams.
"We integrate into legacy ERP systems and call different LLMs depending on what works best to automate certain workflows," Ahluwalia explained. The company maintains ownership of the enterprise-level context layer. This data feeds back into the system to enable what GeneralMind describes as autopilot-grade automation. Human supervision remains available where required.
Platform Capabilities and Client Base
GeneralMind's technology integrates with legacy ERP systems. The platform automates unstructured coordination across email, spreadsheets and internal tools. Several NASDAQ-, MDAX- and SDAX-listed enterprises already use GeneralMind's technology. The company has not disclosed specific client names at this time.
Leadership Team and Global Operations
The founding team includes several key executives. Shrestha Chowdhury serves as chief product officer. Dr Oliver Dlugosch holds the position of chief commercial officer. Lennart von Hardenberg works as CTO for platform development. Nishrit Shrivastava functions as CTO for deployments. Sergiu Șoima operates as senior vice-president of engineering.
GeneralMind maintains headquarters in Berlin. The company also operates a second office in Bangalore. Leo Capital, founded by Rajul Garg, participates in the investor group. Samir Sood, formerly of Venture Highway, supports the company as an angel investor. Part of the founding and engineering team works from the Bangalore location.
Growth Plans and Team Structure
GeneralMind currently employs 28 people across Berlin and Bengaluru. Headcount splits evenly between these two locations. The company plans to use the fresh capital for technology scaling. Expansion of enterprise deployments across Europe represents another key objective. The funding round positions GeneralMind for significant growth in the enterprise automation market.
