The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET-PG) 2026, revealing that Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Political Science have emerged as the most popular subject choices among candidates. A total of 157 subjects were offered for the examination.
High Registrations in General Test and Technology Subjects
According to the NTA, the General test papers and technology-related subjects recorded the highest number of registrations this year. This trend indicates a growing interest among students in interdisciplinary and skill-oriented programs. The General test is a common paper for many postgraduate courses, while technology subjects like Computer Science and AI reflect the increasing demand for expertise in digital and emerging technologies.

The NTA also released the list of toppers across various subject categories. In the Computer Science paper, the top rank was secured by a candidate from Maharashtra, while the AI paper topper hails from Karnataka. The Political Science paper saw the highest score from a candidate in Delhi.
Toppers and Their Scores
The topper in the General Test category scored a perfect 100 percentile. In Computer Science, the top candidate achieved 99.98 percentile, while the AI topper secured 99.95 percentile. The Political Science topper scored 99.97 percentile. These results highlight the competitive nature of the examination and the high level of preparation among students.
The CUET-PG 2026 examination was conducted in multiple phases across various centers in India. The NTA has advised candidates to download their scorecards from the official website and proceed with the counseling process as per the schedule of their respective universities.
