A series of images of the Citroen Racing GEN4 car were recently shared on the team's official Instagram page. The post was captioned: "A new era starts now. Citroen Racing has officially unveiled its GEN4 Formula E car ahead of Season 13, giving fans a first look at the future of the team in the next chapter of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The GEN4 brings major technical evolution to the series, designed to optimise both qualifying and race conditions."

The caption added: "But this is not the final look. Citroen Racing Head of Design on New Livery

Explaining the GEN4's look, Pierre Leclercq, Head of Design at Citroen, told FormulaE.com, "With this livery, the aim was to continue working with the graphic language of the chevrons. The two central chevrons bring additional dynamism to the car, and from this point we developed a parametric gradient that extends across the bodywork. It builds on what we introduced with the 2025/26 livery, creating a layered visual effect that reveals itself progressively as you get closer to the car."

"The livery we are unveiling this week is a 'camouflage' livery, designed as a transition before introducing a more expressive and dynamic identity, incorporating Citroen's colors and French heritage," he added.

The Formula E GEN4 car will hit the track in Season 13, which is set to begin at the end of this year. Currently, Citroen Racing drivers Nick Cassidy and Jean-Eric Vergne are competing in the Formula E GEN3 Evo.
